PROGRAM DETAILS
As a site, NWAI ensures postdoctoral fellows an opportunity to gain clinical experience treating individuals living with OCD and anxiety disorders, providing apprenticeship-model training, from a CBT theoretical framework with a focus on implementing ERP therapy. NWAI offers advanced training in anxiety assessment, case formulation, and treatment approaches at both outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care. Fellows divide their time between direct patient care, administrative activities, supervision, didactic training, and clinical roundings. Based on interest, fellows may also have opportunities to provide parent consultation, facilitate group-based therapies, supervise student trainees, participate in our client outcomes monitoring and practice-based research program, and give community presentations about anxiety and related disorders. Additionally, if other clinically relevant activities become of interest, we remain open to reviewing and integrating those into one’s postdoctoral fellowship experience.
