Julie is currently in her final year of her Master’s in Professional Mental Health Counseling at Lewis & Clark College and is coming to NW Anxiety Institute as an intern to expand her knowledge in working with anxiety disorders.
Julie has extensive experience working with children and adolescents in inpatient and psychiatric settings. She is trained in crisis intervention and has worked to support youth and their families through what can often be the most challenging time in their lives. Julie takes a holistic approach to healing, placing value on the individual as a whole, taking into consideration their life experiences and the connections between their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences and spiritual understandings. Through her work Julie has seen the impact anxiety can have on someone’s life. Julie is inspired to learn how to implement CBT and ERP in hopes of making a positive change and lasting impact on a client’s life.
In her free time Julie enjoys running and joining in on many of the fun races Oregon has to offer, diving into her passion for traveling and learning about other cultures, and playing with her twin cats Maverick and Goose.
