Paul WaudeStudent ClinicianPaul joined the NWAI team as a student clinician in the Fall of 2022. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to deepen his understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), while helping clients manage their anxiety and pursue their goals. Utilizing empathy and irreverence, Paul aims to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and empowered to challenge them selves. Before moving to Oregon,
Paul grew up in Seattle, where he completed his undergraduate work at the University of Washington. Prior to joining the mental health field, he spent 12 years in project management, tackling everything from non-profit fund development in Seattle’s underserved Chinatown International District to producing promotional videos for Xbox and Amazon. He is currently enrolled at Lewis & Clark, where he is in his third year, pursuing his Master’s in Professional Mental Health Counseling. When he is not at NWAI, Paul can be found haunting local record stores searching for punk and hard core vinyl or sitting in his backyard, daydreaming about owning a dog. Lewis & Clark University
