Melanie Ahlf, BA, QMHPStudent ClinicianMelanie is a student clinician at NWAI. She has received training in interventions rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Melanie strives to create kind therapeutic relationships, which build solid foundations of trust resulting in client growth.
Melanie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is in her last year of the Master’s program for Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Fox University. She spent over a decade honing her interpersonal skills as a hairstylist before returning to school to become a clinician. Melanie is passionate about mental health accessibility and derives a sense of purpose through helping others. Her goal at NWAI is to connect with each client in a meaningful way in order to help them achieve change in their lives. When Melanie is not focusing on her education and work, she enjoys spending time outside with her partner and their two dogs. She likes writing, playing games with friends, listening to records, paint-by-numbers, trying out new restaurants and daydreaming about the ocean. George Fox University
