Kevin Menasco, LCSW
Associate Clinician I
Kevin specializes in the treatment of OCD-spectrum and anxiety related disorders. He has received extensive training in treating OCD and anxiety disorders using CBT, ACT, and ERP. Prior to working at NWAI, Kevin provided treatment to individuals as well as their families suffering from severe OCD-spectrum and anxiety disorders in New Hampshire.
Kevin attended Lesley University for his BS in Counseling Psychology before later attending Simmons College for his Master’s of Social Work in Boston Massachusetts. He has worked in emergencies departments, in-patient hospitals, residential programs, and outpatient settings.
Much of Kevin’s work with OCD has involved working with individuals that have struggled with making meaningful changes in the past due to the severity of their symptoms or lack of access to specialized care. He believes clients always have control over how much they choose to challenge their fears by engaging in exposures and learning to be present with uncomfortable experiences. Kevin believes compassion and humor are central to creating an effective relationship that helps lead clients to making meaningful changes over time.
In the years before and during school Kevin worked as a baker and a barista and continues to both make (but mostly eat) sweets and baked goods when not outside hiking, reading, or playing video games.
