Francesca DellaMaggiore, BS, QMHPStudent ClinicianFrancesca recently joined the NWAI team as a student clinician. She values providing a safe and collaborative environment in which clients feel empowered to grow and cultivate change. Francesca takes a holistic approach to healing, placing value on the individual, taking into consideration their life experiences and the connections between their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings. She has received training in intervention styles rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP).
Francesca received her Bachelor of Science from Vanguard University of Southern California and is currently a second-year doctoral candidate for Clinical Psychology at George Fox University. Francesca decided to pursue her doctorate to gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of how society and culture impacts people’s mental health, in hopes of being a culturally competent clinician. Her previous work with families and adolescents on the Autism spectrum has expanded her passion for helping families connect and understand one another better. Francesca seeks to further enhance her understanding of evidence-based interventions to support her clinical work. When Francesca is not at work or school, she can be found exploring all the coffee shops and antique shops in Portland, playing card games with friends, hiking, watching movies, and petting any dog she sees!
