Katie McEnroe, PsyD, QMHPPsychologist ResidentKatie recently joined the NWAI team as a psychologist resident. She is skilled with establishing a safe and empowering environment in order to assist clients with achieving their goals. Katie has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) interventions. Her empathic and clear communication style create a nonjudgmental atmosphere in therapy.
Katie received her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University. She is currently completing her pre-licensure hours before becoming a licensed clinical psychologist. For the last several years, Katie has been gaining experience working with a range of mental health difficulties, including substance use, trauma-related symptoms, anxiety, and depression. She has been privileged to work with clients in community-based clinics, private practice clinics, and non-profit agencies. Her experience working with a wide range of populations and symptoms expanded her clinical skills and interventions in order to be flexible for each client’s needs. Katie looks forward to collaborating clients on their journey to overcoming their fears and living according to their values. When Katie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her cat and dog, trying new restaurants, camping, and doing yoga. |
